When you have scabies you are probably having itching and constantly sensitive skin. You will only get worse with the irritating scratching until you kill the mites that cause the scabies. Here are some of the symptoms of scabies:
Itching is the common symptom of scabies combined with little red bumps on the skin. The areas the itch are everywhere. You will generally in the beginning more at night after baths. The itching is often associated with dry skin when bathing or swimming. Any exposure to water will irritate the mites to become more active. The itching ranges from being slight to being quite intense.
Irritated skin with a rash appearance is associated with scabies. The skin may form sores or small red bumps. This is because the mite is burrowing into the skin. The mite can sometimes been visible in the skin which is small black dot similar to a pimple. The mite travels under the upper layers of the skins resulting in the red spots or lines.
The irritations of the mites generally form in between the fingers on the palms near the wrists in the armpits on the outer parts of the elbows around the abdomen and belly on the buttocks near the bra line for women around the ankles neck and face as well as on the soles of the feet. The mites will attach onto the body in most areas yet tend to go the areas that often have more moisture than the other parts of the body.
Problems associated with the scabies include secondary lesions from scratching that crust as they try to heal as you scratch when the mite burrows into the skin. The skin will be dry scaly red and very irritated. The more you scratch the more the mite will move and spread.
Nodular scabies are the small brownish red raised areas on the body covering the armpits groin buttocks and genital areas. The areas will be intensely irritated and possible become infected due to the scratching forming crusty scabs until the mites are killed to remove them from the underneath layers of the skin.
